Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Hello world! My name is Christina and I’m originally from sunny Southern California.

I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles). Later, I studied and worked in the beautiful city of  Santa Barbara.

I’m an ambitious twentysomething who loves traveling and taking photos. I’ve traveled extensively alone, with friends, and with family. I’ve been to many countries all around Europe, as well as China, Turkey, Morocco, the Philippines, Thailand, Mexico, Canada, and of course around the United States.

I’m a firm believer that life is too short to be anything but happy. So after working extremely hard and doing various office jobs full-time, I decided to pack up my bags and embark on a new adventure! I’ve never looked back. Now, I live in lovely Madrid, Spain where I currently teach English as an auxiliar de conversación at a bilingual elementary school and also work at an incredible international humanitarian non-profit organization.

I like to call myself a “life documentarian” =). I’m an amateur photo enthusiast/hobbyist, and I always have a camera at hand! All my friends know that I am always there to capture the moment, no matter how embarrassing the moment may be.

Years ago, I took a black and white film photography class (where I developed actual black and white photos in a darkroom with chemicals), which was an incredible experience. Nowadays, I shoot digital (although I really, really miss film. Nothing can replicate the experience of seeing a photo develop with chemicals before your eyes!).

I hope you enjoy my photographs and travel tales, and I hope you are inspired to embark on adventures of your own!
